Before we can steam and bend the ribs, we attach the bow- and sternplates and fasten the keelson to them.
Bow and sternplate are from White Ash. With the keelson in place we have a way to determine the length and shape of the ribs. The bow and sternplates are doweled to the keelson and lashed to the gunwales.
